Accessibility Statement
Ardor Eyewear is committed to making ardoreyewear.co.uk accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. This statement explains where we are with accessibility and how to report issues.
Standards we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is the standard recommended for public-facing websites in the UK.
What we currently do
- Provide alt text on product and content images so screen readers can describe them
- Use clear, readable typography with sufficient contrast
- Structure pages with headings to support screen reader navigation
- Allow keyboard navigation through key page interactions
- Avoid auto-playing media that can’t be paused
- Provide form labels and error messages that screen readers can announce
Known limitations
We’re aware of areas where we don’t yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, including:
- Some older product images may have minimal alt text — we’re reviewing and improving
- Some third-party embedded content (e.g. payment widgets) may not be fully keyboard-accessible — these are managed by external providers
- Colour contrast on certain promotional elements is being audited and improved
Reporting an accessibility issue
If you encounter something on our Site that doesn’t work for you, please tell us — we want to fix it. Contact us via our contact form with details of:
- The page or feature where the issue occurred
- The device, browser, and assistive technology you were using
- What happened versus what you expected
We aim to respond to accessibility reports within five working days.
Alternative formats
If you need information from this Site in an alternative format — large print, plain text, or read aloud — contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
