What makes Oakley different

Plutonite lens material

Oakley’s proprietary lens material blocks 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light up to 400 nm — every Oakley lens, even clear ones. The material is also impact-resistant to ANSI Z87.1 standards.

Prizm lens technology

Oakley’s contrast-enhancing lens technology is tuned for specific environments — Prizm Trail, Prizm Golf, Prizm Road, Prizm Snow, and more. Each version selectively filters wavelengths to make terrain or targets stand out more clearly.

Three-Point Fit

Oakley frames are designed to make contact at three points only — the bridge of the nose and the sides of the head. They don’t pinch behind the ears the way many fashion frames do. The result is sunglasses you can wear for hours of activity without discomfort.

Prescription Oakley

Most Oakley lifestyle frames (Holbrook, Frogskins, Latch series) take prescription lenses without issue. Wraparound performance frames (Radar EV, Sutro, Jawbreaker) need a special prescription insert or curved-lens design. We can advise on which approach works for your prescription strength when you order.

Oakley also makes prescription-ready optical frames in the Crosshair, Currency, and Hyperlink lines if you prefer a non-sport profile.
